UBC Civil Engineering Professor Don Mavinic receives innovation award

Reported in today’s Vancouver Sun, Don Mavinic, UBC professor of Civil Engineering, will receive a 2010 Manning Innovation Award, the $25,000 David E. Mitchell Award of Distinction, for a bio-digester system that takes nutrients at waste water treatment plants and transforms them into a commercial fertilizer product.
